2D Design Connections to Classroom Teaching

2D Design Connections to Classroom Teaching

2D design can be used in the classroom to explore topics such as identity, which is more relevant for adolescents. It can be used to explore students' interests, their forming moral beliefs, or their conflicts with their identity.

Design thinking can be used to give students more freedom in their assignments or the curriculum, allowing them to be more involved and be more invested in the projects. Therefore, we will ask students to think about how they want to organize their curriculum in some aspects using principles of design thinking.

Finally, elements of the principles of art and design are incredibly important in a classroom. But instead of directly teaching the right and wrong way of doing it, you can ask them open-ended questions that prompt their usage of these techniques. How can I use color to express an emotion? What shapes can I use to express my feelings?
