3D Design

 

For my 3D design project, I decided to create the outline of a rock dove. Originally, I wanted to use Blender because I've never used it before. However, I had trouble making it work with my computer, so I want to see if I can use it on the school computers next time. I chose a rock dove because of their history, how we domesticated and used them to help us win wars, then abandoned them. I related to them through my black identity. Throughout music, such as rock and country, throughout dance musics, defining culture through language, black people are used and then abandoned when convenient. I chose to make the bird fly because, regardless of the challenges and hardships, black culture and I personally continue to create and innovate. I also edited a version with Ankara fabric to connect my Nigerian culture to the project. I used Procreate to edit it and Tinkercad to make the 3D object.
